(Granted the other races do, but that may be to do with Human-infusion with their cultures.) The Novakid have a lot of Human stuff about them. But how did they become the Novakid we love and know? Humans. So the Novakid don't get an artifact because they have species-wide amnesia. Imagine giving car keys to a small child, you wouldn't trust em with that shit. The Cultivator would've been keenly aware of this. So unconcerned are they with what happened before now, they have forgotten their own origins, having never bothered to catalog their history". smart, as stated by their wiki-page "A generally carefree and capricious people with notoriously short memories and attention spans, they live in the moment, wandering the stars in search of adventure or whatever, with little reflection on the past. Maybe the Cultivator knew of the Novakids tendency to not be. Why wasn't there a 7th? Why didn't the Novakid get one too? But that leaves another sour patch in my mouth. And the Cultivator didn't split itself up into 6 other races, because again the Starbound lore says that he gave each of the races an artifact. They were born of a star as described by their wiki page. As most/all of us know the Novakid were not created by a splintering Cultivator. Sounds boring, but bare with me for a moment.
